Unlike the Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t use their legacy and past history of success to remain relevant; they actually get the job done on a regular basis. With a loaded offense that’s capable of winning in a shootout and a defense that prides itself on physicality, the Steelers look like a team poised to make a run at NFL supremacy. But just because a team looks a certain way that doesn’t mean it can’t fail to live up to the hype.

Before you start betting all your paychecks on the Pittsburgh Steelers making a deep run in 2018, first take a look at the prop bets (and odds) available for the AFC North juggernaut, as well as our predictions for how these wagers will turn out.

Regular Season Wins (10.5 wins)

  • Over: +105
  • Under: -135

Expectations are always high in Pittsburgh. And with the over/under set at 10.5, 2018 is no different. The Steelers have won at least 10 games in each of the last four seasons. The question is, can they keep the good times rolling? Here’s how we see their 2018 regular season playing out:

  • @ Cleveland Browns – Win
  • Kansas City Chiefs – Win
  • @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Win
  • Baltimore Ravens – Win
  • Atlanta Falcons – Win
  • @ Cincinnati Bengals – Win
  • Cleveland Browns – Win
  • @ Baltimore Ravens – Loss
  • Carolina Panthers – Win
  • @ Jacksonville Jaguars – Loss
  • @ Denver Broncos – Win
  • Los Angeles Chargers – Win
  • @ Oakland Raiders – Win
  • New England Patriots – Loss
  • @ New Orleans Saints – Loss
  • Cincinnati Bengals – Win

If the Steelers remain healthy, they will be one of the top teams in the league. As it stands, we see them going 12-4 in the 2018 season.

Prediction: Over 10.5 wins.

Steelers to win AFC North (-190)

The Steelers have won the division three out of the past four seasons, including the last two in a row. It’s hard to picture anyone dethroning the black and yellow.

Prediction: Very real possibility. Make this bet.

Steelers to win AFC (+425)

The Steelers are always a threat to make a deep run. This season is no different. If everything falls into place, and Pittsburgh stays healthy, it could easily be playing for Super Bowl 53.

Prediction: Very real possibility. Make this bet.

Steelers to win Super Bowl 53 (+1000)

If the Steelers get into the big game, they have a very real shot at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. And at +1000 (bet $100 to win $1000), we love those odds.

Prediction: Very real possibility. Make this bet.

Steelers to Make/Miss the playoffs

  • Make: -550
  • Miss: +375

It’s hard to imagine the Steelers missing the playoffs. In fact, the organization has failed to reach the postseason just three times in the last 11 seasons. That being said, this is a stiff bet with those odds.

Prediction: We believe they will make the postseason, but we’re not really fans of throwing down $550 just to win $100.

Ben Roethlisberger to win NFL MVP (+3000)

Big Ben remains one of the top QBs in the game, but he’s battled injuries the last few years. If he can stay on the field, and the Steelers play up to their potential, he could easily be in the MVP race. However, we’re not banking on this one.

Prediction: It’s possible, and the odds certainly make this appealing. However, we don’t think this is going to happen.

Ben Roethlisberger to lead the NFL in passing yards (+1200)

Roethlisberger finished in the top five in passing yards in 2017 with 4,251. That’s the most he’s had since 2015 when he actually led the league with 4,952 yards in the air. Big Ben can certainly sling the pigskin. Still, we’d put our money on guys like Brees and Brady in this category.

Prediction: It’s possible but we’d steer clear.

Antonio Brown to lead NFL in receiving yards (+250)

Antonio Brown’s ability to consistently perform at a high level is remarkable. The six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro amassed over 1,500 receiving yards in three of the past four season and led the league in receiving yards twice in that same span. There’s a reason he’s the odds-on favorite to top the competition yet again in 2018. Don’t hesitate to put your money on A.B.

Prediction: Make this bet.

Le’Veon Bell to lead NFL in rushing yards (+400 )

Barring something unforeseen, Le’Veon Bell will be suiting up elsewhere in 2019. As a result, you know the two-time All-Pro will be looking for a big season so he can cash in on a major payday. Ezekiel Elliott and Todd Gurley are the favorites and for good reason. But don’t sleep on Le’Veon.

Prediction: Very real possibility. Make the bet.
