There is a common belief among old-school NFL fans that defense wins championships. Sometimes, this is certainly true — see the 2015 Denver Broncos. However, in today’s football landscape, where the rules favor the offense like never before, you’re not winning a Super Bowl if you can’t put points on the board.

As with seemingly everything else, Vegas oddsmakers feel it’s only fair you should be able to bet on which NFL teams will put up the most points in the upcoming season. Does Vegas like your team’s chances of leading the league in scoring in 2018? See for yourself.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+800)

We’re already expecting the Steelers to have a big year in 2018. These Vegas odds merely confirm that. If the Three B’s — Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Le’Veon Bell — are healthy and firing on all cylinders, expect Pittsburgh to put up serious points. However, that could all change in 2019.

Los Angeles Rams (+800)

Last season, first-year head coach Sean McVay transformed the Los Angeles Rams into an offensive juggernaut. The AFC West squad amassed 5,784 yards on offense and led the league in scoring at 29.9 points per game. Will know soon enough when the Rams can do it again in 2018.

Green Bay Packers (+800)

The Green Bay Packers have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. As long the MVP frontrunner stays on the field, the Packers will put up points and be legitimate┬ácontenders. That’s why they signed him to the biggest contract in NFL history.

Philadelphia Eagles (+700)

The Philadelphia Eagles have not looked like the defending Super Bowl champs this preseason. Of course, it’s important to remember that the preseason is just that — the preseason. Once the Birds have all their weapons healthy and back on the field, particularly quarterback Carson Wentz, don’t be surprised if that offensive soars to new heights in 2018.

New England Patriots (+550)

No surprise here. The Patriots are the cream of the crop in the National Football League. Not only were they second in the league in points per game (28.6) last season, but quarterback Tom Brady continues to sling the pigskin as if Father Time didn’t exist. No matter the category, it’s always tough to bet against the Pats.
