The Los Angeles Rams are the NFL’s lone remaining unbeaten team in 2018. While history has proven that perfection is nearly impossible in the National Football League, there is something special about the Rams that has people around the league talking about the possibility of a perfect season.

There hasn’t been a perfect season in the NFL since the 1972 Miami Dolphins went 14-0 in the regular season, then ran the table in the postseason en route to a victory in Super Bowl VII. This is why the living members of the ’72 Dolphins have made an annual tradition out of popping bottles of champagne when the final remaining unbeaten.

The Rams now boast an 8-0 record after their thrilling 29-27 victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. They have eight games remaining on their regular season schedule, and some of them will obviously be more difficult than others.

When (or will) the ’72 Dolphins get to pop their bottles in 2018? Here’s how the Vegas oddsmakers see the situation playing out.

Week 14 vs. Chicago Bears (+400)

The Bears are one of the fastest rising young teams in the NFL. Their offense is full of young talent, and their defense, led by Defensive Player of the Year front-runner Khalil Mack, is a top-five unit in the league.

The Rams will face the Bears in Chicago in this matchup in what will likely prove to be their final true test of the regular season.

Week 11 vs. Kansas City Chiefs (+350)

Led by NFL MVP front-runner Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have one of the most high-powered offensive attacks the league has ever seen. The Kansas City defense is nothing special, but make no mistake about it, the Rams will have their hands full against the Chiefs in this potential preview of Super Bowl 53.

Week 9 vs. New Orleans Saints (+150)

This battle will go a long way in deciding who will have home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs. Led by a balanced and explosive offensive, and an opportunistic defense, the Saints (6-1) are without a doubt a Super Bowl caliber team. In fact, this game may be the Rams’ toughest test of the entire 2018 season.
