It’s Super Bowl or bust for the Green Bay Packers in 2018.
Bottom line: the Packers have the premier offensive player in the NFL today, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and their window to win another championship with him under center is rapidly shrinking. While all (or most) eyes will be on Green Bay’s Super Bowl odds, there are several prop bets available that could offer bettors some hefty payouts.
As history has proven, oddsmakers are extremely accurate when it comes to forecasting how an NFL season is going to play out. With that being said, here’s a look at the prop bets (and odds) available for the Packers in 2018, as well as our predictions for how these wagers will turn out.
Regular Season Wins (10 wins)
- Over: Even
- Under: -130
Vegas is expecting the Packers to be a Super Bowl contender in 2018. And with a close look at their schedule we agree.
Here’s how we see all 16 of the Packers’ games playing out this fall.
- Chicago Bears – Win
- Minnesota Vikings – Win
- @ Washington Redskins – Win
- Buffalo Bills – Win
- @ Detroit Lions – Win
- San Francisco 49ers – Win
- @ Los Angeles Rams – Loss
- @ New England Patriots – Loss
- Miami Dolphins – Win
- @ Seattle Seahawks – Win
- @ Minnesota Vikings – Loss
- Arizona Cardinals – Win
- Atlanta Falcons – Win
- @ Chicago Bears – Win
- @ New York Jets – Win
- Detroit Lions – Win
A lot can change between now and Week 1, but as of today, we are predicting the Packers to go 13-3 in 2018. That all rides on the health of Aaron Rodgers, though.
Prediction: Over 10 wins.
Packers to win Super Bowl 53 (+1300)
Simply put: you need to make this bet now if you are confident that Rodgers will stay healthy all year.
Prediction: This is worth the risk. Make this bet before the odds drop.
Packers to win NFC (+700)
Prediction: Make this bet.
Packers to Make/Miss the playoffs
- Make: -185
- Miss: +150
The odds (wager $185 to win $100) aren’t ideal, but the Packers should be in the playoffs.
Prediction: Again, if Rodgers stays healthy, this is free money.
Packers win NFC North (+110)
The NFC North will be a tight race between the Pack and the Minnesota Vikings. Given the potential payout (win $110 on a $100 wager), we don’t think this one is worth the risk.
Prediction: Green Bay may win the division, but the payout isn’t worth the risk here.
Aaron Rodgers to win NFL MVP (+450)
Rodgers is the best offensive player in the NFL today. He’s our pick to win here.
Prediction: Rodgers is our pick. Make this bet.
Aaron Rodgers to lead the NFL in passing yards (+650)
If Rodgers stays healthy, he will contend here. At +650 (collect $650 on a $100 wager), this is another prop bet that makes a ton of sense.
Prediction: We clearly think Rodgers is in for a big season. Make this bet.
Davante Adams to lead the NFL in receiving yards (+3000)
Adams is now the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver in Green Bay. Still, we don’t see him beating out guys like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and Odell Beckham Jr.
Prediction: Stranger things have happened, but we won’t be making this bet.
What team will Khalil Mack be on November 1, 2018?
- Green Bay Packers (+200)
- Oakland Raiders (+250)
- Chicago Bears (+350)
- New York Jets (+450)
- Any other team (+550)
Wouldn’t this be something? Vegas likes the Packers here, but we’ll go with Mack staying in Oakland.
