All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant has been looking for work ever since his ugly — and unceremonious — departure from the Dallas Cowboys earlier this offseason. Bryant played eight seasons for ‘America’s Team,’ and for the most part, he was a highly productive game-changer.
Bryant did turn down a solid contract offer from the Baltimore Ravens shortly after being released, reportedly hoping to land a more lucrative offer somewhere else. As that proved to not be the case, Bryant is now likely going to be forced to settle for a deal that is worth a fraction of what he earned during his final seasons in Dallas.
With training camps opening all around the league, it’s only a matter of time before the former Oklahoma State Cowboy lands with a new team. Here’s where the oddsmakers at Sportsline believe he will end up taking his talents.

New England Patriots (10-1)
It seems like every aging veteran free agent with any type of baggage ends up being linked to the Patriots. Bryant is no different — and New England actually has a need with Julian Edelman facing a four-game suspension to open the season.
For this to happen, though, Bryant would have to agree to toe the company line, which is highly unlikely.
San Francisco 49ers (10-1)
The 49ers are a team on the rise, with a quarterback (Jimmy Garoppolo) that looks like he could be a potential superstar. Bryant could come in and likely be the team’s No. 1 wide receiver from day one. Seems like a perfect fit, right?
New Orleans Saints (8-1)
For Bryant to join the Saints, he would have to be willing to push his ego aside and accept a role as a No. 2 or No. 3 option — something that might be worth it for the chance to play alongside the legendary Drew Brees.
Houston Texans (8-1)
Cleveland Browns (6-1)
The Browns added Jarvis Landry this offseason, but with Josh Gordon announcing that he plans to miss the start of training camp, they could use another proven veteran to help with the development of rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Other notable teams:
- Atlanta Falcons (12-1)
- Tennessee Titans (12-1)
- Green Bay Packers (12-1)
