NFL teams are scheduled to make their final cuts this coming Saturday, and Dez Bryant, who was released by the Dallas Cowboys in April, has still yet to land a job. That could change soon, however, according to the oddsmakers in Las Vegas.
Online sportsbook MyBookie recently released their odds on where they see Bryant playing in 2018. Here’s what they came up with.
Odds courtesy of MyBookie as of August 28, 2018.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+400)
With the loss of Marqise Lee, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in the team’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, the Jaguars suddenly have a pressing need at wide receiver. If Bryant is healthy and in shape, he would be an excellent addition to a Jaguars team that has Super Bowl aspirations in 2018.
New England Patriots (+400)
The Patriots have already cut ties with Kenny Britt and Eric Decker, who retired before his official release, during training camp. They will be without Julian Edelman for the first four games of the season, so the idea of adding Bryant makes perfect sense. On top of that, there may not be another organization in the league that is better suited to handle Bryant and his boisterous personality than the Pats.
Cleveland Browns (+300)
Bryant has already visited and worked out for the Browns, but the three-time Pro Bowler left Cleveland without signing a contract. Bryant has been linked to the Browns all offseason, and they remain the team to beat here. When it comes down to it, the Browns are likely waiting to get a definitive answer on the availability of Josh Gordon before extending an offer to Bryant.
